Seven Japanese Animation Companies Collaborate to Deliver Anime Overseas

Yoji Shimizu, the president of ADK announced that it has begun collaborating with Aniplex, Sunrise, Toei Animation, TMS Entertainment, NIHON AD SYSTEMS, and Dentsu. Their goal is to deliver anime, both video and related goods, overseas under the online platform named “Daisuki” (meaning to like a lot).

The seven groups have been working on this since October of last year, and have begun preliminary work since then. While the site is currently up, they plan to “kick-start” this April. While their initial goal is to pool their libraries together to deliver popular titles such as Puella Magi Madoka Magica, Mobile Suit Gundam, One Piece, Lupin the 3rd, and Prince of Tennis, there are also plans to deliver new titles online concurrently with broadcasting, as well as staging live performances.
